Wyoming issues no statewide license for a contracting business. Local registrations and specialty permits can still apply.
Wyoming issues no statewide general contractor license or registration and leaves the option to license contractors to the local jurisdiction where the construction takes place. The state does license electricians and electrical contractors through the Wyoming State Fire Marshal's electrical safety program. The Resident Contractor Certification from the Department of Workforce Services is a 5 percent bid preference on public construction projects, not a permission to operate.
