Why Iowa Has No Veteran LLC Fee Waiver

The certificate of organization fee under Iowa Code § 489.201 is published on one Secretary of State schedule alongside every other business filing, and no veteran exemption appears anywhere on it. Filing costs a veteran exactly what it costs anyone else. Ongoing costs work the same way. Iowa LLCs file a biennial report rather than an annual one, and it's cheaper filed online than on paper — a difference that has nothing to do with veteran status. We also found no primary source waiving any Iowa business registration or occupational licence fee for veterans. Whatever advantage exists in this state is on the purchasing side, and only for some veterans.
