How to File

  1. 1

Obtain consent from your new registered agent

Before filing any paperwork with Idaho, ensure your new registered agent agrees to serve your LLC and has a physical Idaho address (not a P.O. Box).

  2. 2

Complete Form CRA (Change of Registered Agent)

Download and fill out the Change of Registered Agent form from the Idaho Secretary of State website at sos.idaho.gov. Include your LLC's name, new agent's information, and both old and new addresses.

  3. 3

    Get signatures on the form

The form must be signed by an authorized member or manager of your LLC and by the new registered agent accepting their appointment.

  4. 4

    Pay the filing fee

Include a $20 filing fee with your form submission. Payment can be made by check or money order payable to the Idaho Secretary of State.

  5. 5

Submit the form to Idaho Secretary of State

Mail the completed form and payment to: Idaho Secretary of State, 700 W Jefferson St, Room E205, Boise, ID 83720-0080, or file online through the Secretary of State's website.

  6. 6

Update your LLC records and notify the old agent

Once processed, update your internal LLC records with the new registered agent information and formally notify your previous registered agent that their services are no longer needed.
