Does a cleaning business need a license in Nevada?
Nevada issues no statewide license for a cleaning business. Local registrations and specialty permits can still apply.
Nevada licenses no cleaning trade. Every entity conducting business in the state must hold a State Business License issued by the Secretary of State under NRS 76.100, at $200 a year for a limited liability company under NRS 76.130, but that duty falls on all businesses and is not a cleaning credential. The State Contractors Board licenses construction under NRS 624.020, which covers work to construct, alter, repair, add to, subtract from, improve, move, wreck or demolish a structure and does not reach janitorial work, and Nevada counties and cities license businesses separately.

What the LLC has to do first
Almost no state licenses house cleaning as a trade. The registrations that do apply are the entity filing, sales tax where cleaning is taxable, and any local business license.
The entity filing is separate from anything the license requires. In Nevada it is made with the Nevada Secretary of State. File directly with the state here. The order matters wherever the license is issued to the company rather than to a person: the entity has to exist before an application can name it.
