   Obtain the Statement of Change of Agent Form

   Download Form 532A (Statement of Change of Agent) from the Ohio Secretary of State website at https://www.ohiosos.gov or request it by mail. This form is required for all registered agent changes in Ohio.

   Complete the Required Information

   Fill out your LLC's name, entity number, current registered agent details, and new registered agent's name and Ohio address. The new agent must have a street address in Ohio (P.O. boxes are not acceptable).

   Get New Agent's Consent

   Ensure your new registered agent signs the consent section on Form 532A. If you're using a professional service, they'll typically handle this step as part of their onboarding process.

   Submit the Form with Filing Fee

   File Form 532A with the Ohio Secretary of State along with the $25 filing fee. You can submit online through the Ohio Business Gateway, by mail to 180 E Broad St, Columbus, OH 43215, or in person.

   Update Your Records

   Once processed (typically 5-10 business days), update your internal LLC records and notify banks, vendors, and other parties of the registered agent change to ensure proper service of legal documents.
