What the LLC's Name Must Include
The LLC's name must include one of these: "Limited Liability Company", "L.L.C." or "LLC".
A professional LLC's name uses one of these instead of the endings above: "Professional Limited Liability Company", "P.L.L.C." or "PLLC", or it keeps one of the endings above and adds the word "Chartered".

Professional LLCs in Florida
In Florida, a professional LLC is formed with the same Articles of Organization. A professional LLC's name uses one of these instead of the endings above: "Professional Limited Liability Company", "P.L.L.C." or "PLLC", or it keeps one of the endings above and adds the word "Chartered". Your profession's licensing board may have requirements of its own, so check with it before you file.
Worth Knowing in Florida
Florida's form treats the names of members or managers as optional, but the Division notes most banks require them on record to open an account, and the Department of Financial Services requires them for workers' compensation. The registered agent must sign the articles accepting the appointment.
