How to File

  1. 1

Obtain the Statement of Change of Registered Office/Agent form

Download Form CR2E08 from the Florida Secretary of State website at https://dos.myflorida.com or request it by mail. This is the official form required to change your registered agent in Florida.

  2. 2

    Complete the required information

Fill out your LLC's name, document number, current registered agent information, and new registered agent details. The new agent must have a Florida street address and consent to serve as your registered agent.

  3. 3

Get your new registered agent's consent

Your new registered agent must sign the form accepting their appointment. If you're using a registered agent service, they'll typically handle this step for you as part of their onboarding process.

  4. 4

Submit the form with filing fee

File Form CR2E08 with the Florida Secretary of State along with the $25 filing fee. You can file online through the Sunbiz portal, by mail, or in person at the Division of Corporations office.

  5. 5

    Update your records

Once filed, update your internal LLC records and notify banks, vendors, and other business contacts of the registered agent change. The change becomes effective when filed with the state.
