Marketplace Verification

How to pass Payoneer verification with a Nevada LLC

What Payoneer asks for at signup, and which Nevada LLC documents satisfy each requirement.

By · Last updated: August 4, 2026

A Nevada LLC is generally eligible for Payoneer verification, and you will need to provide your Articles of Organization, EIN, beneficial-owner ID, and a valid US business address. Nothing about forming in Nevada blocks approval, and nothing about it guarantees approval either: the final call is Payoneer's.

Payoneer is a global payment platform used by marketplace sellers, freelancers, and businesses to receive cross-border payments and access multi-currency accounts. For a Nevada LLC, Payoneer requires business registration documents (in Nevada, your Articles of Organization), an IRS EIN document, proof of business address, and identity information for beneficial owners. Payoneer is also the default payment processor for Walmart Marketplace seller payouts.

In Nevada the entity behind that check is an LLC created by filing Articles of Organization, which costs $75. Nevada publishes a turnaround of same day (online). Because Nevada names a member or manager on a routine public filing, the owner name Payoneer asks you to confirm is already a matter of public record.

Not legal advice: Verification requirements change, and so do Nevada's filing fees and forms. Confirm current platform rules with Payoneer, and current filing rules with the Nevada filing office, before you file. Payoneer's requirements were last reviewed 2026-07-21, and Nevada's figures on this page come from its own published schedule.

What Payoneer requires, and how a Nevada LLC meets each

RequirementHow your Nevada LLC satisfies it
Business registration certificateUpload the Articles of Organization Nevada returned to you, stamped and approved.
IRS EIN documentProvide your federal EIN (free from the IRS; non-US founders without an SSN must apply via Form SS-4 by fax or phone rather than the online tool), independent of Nevada.
Beneficial owner identity (25%+ owners)Provide a government ID for each beneficial owner named in your Nevada filings. Nevada names a member or manager on a routine public filing, so at least one name already matches state records.
Business address proofUse a US street address registered to the LLC in Nevada (your Nevada registered-agent or virtual business address), since a PO box is usually rejected.
Consistent business name across all documentsUse the exact LLC name as Nevada recorded it on your Articles of Organization; it must match your bank account holder name.

Nevada-specific things to watch

  • Nevada names a member or manager on a routine public filing, so Payoneer's beneficial-owner check will line up with public state records, and you still upload a government ID for each owner. (Confirmed not anonymous despite marketing: both the domestic Initial/Annual List and the foreign LLC list must state the names, titles, and addresses of all managers or, if none, all managing members, and these lists are public record filed at formation and annually.)
  • Budget for Nevada's ongoing LLC costs before projecting your Payoneer margins: Every LLC must hold a State Business License at $200/year (corporations pay $500) and file a $150 Annual List, $350/year total recurring. Nevada's Commerce Tax applies only to businesses with Nevada gross revenue over $4 million.
  • Payoneer payouts flow through to your personal return, and Nevada won't tax them under a personal income tax: Nevada has no personal income tax on wages or pass-through business income; the Nevada Constitution prohibits a tax on personal income.

Nevada sales tax & nexus rules for Payoneer sellers

Nevada charges a 6.85% state sales-tax rate. Payments through Payoneer are not covered by marketplace-facilitator laws, so you collect and remit yourself. Registration is required before your first taxable sale if you have physical presence in Nevada (an in-state location, inventory, or employees), or once you cross Nevada's remote-seller economic-nexus threshold of $100,000 in sales or 200 transactions in the previous or current calendar year.

Nevada's 6.85% base rate is supplemented by county taxes, up to 8.375% in the highest-rate county. Register with the Nevada Department of Taxation.

Non-US founders with Nevada LLCs

Payoneer is widely used by non-US founders receiving marketplace payments worldwide. Non-US owners of a Nevada LLC verify with their own non-US government ID. The entity still needs a US business address and an EIN alongside its Nevada registration. Payoneer supports receiving payments in multiple currencies without a US bank account.
