Payoneer is a global payment platform used by marketplace sellers, freelancers, and businesses to receive cross-border payments and access multi-currency accounts. For a Idaho LLC, Payoneer requires business registration documents (in Idaho, your Certificate of Organization), an IRS EIN document, proof of business address, and identity information for beneficial owners. Payoneer is also the default payment processor for Walmart Marketplace seller payouts.
In Idaho the entity behind that check is an LLC created by filing a Certificate of Organization, which costs $100. Idaho does not publish a processing time for LLC filings, so treat state approval as the open-ended step in your timeline rather than the Payoneer review. Because Idaho names a member or manager on a routine public filing, the owner name Payoneer asks you to confirm is already a matter of public record.
What Payoneer requires, and how a Idaho LLC meets each
| Requirement | How your Idaho LLC satisfies it |
|---|---|
| Business registration certificate | Upload the Certificate of Organization Idaho returned to you, stamped and approved. |
| IRS EIN document | Provide your federal EIN (free from the IRS; non-US founders without an SSN must apply via Form SS-4 by fax or phone rather than the online tool) — independent of Idaho. |
| Beneficial owner identity (25%+ owners) | Provide a government ID for each beneficial owner named in your Idaho filings. Idaho names a member or manager on a routine public filing, so at least one name already matches state records. |
| Business address proof | Use a US street address registered to the LLC in Idaho (your Idaho registered-agent or virtual business address), since a PO box is usually rejected. |
| Consistent business name across all documents | Use the exact LLC name as Idaho recorded it on your Certificate of Organization; it must match your bank account holder name. |
Idaho-specific things to watch
- Idaho names a member or manager on a routine public filing, so Payoneer's beneficial-owner check will line up with public state records — you still upload a government ID for each owner. (Idaho's annual report requires at least one member or manager (a 'governor'), and filings are public.)
- Idaho issues a Certificate of Organization rather than "Articles of Organization." When Payoneer asks for "formation documents," upload your Certificate of Organization.
Idaho sales tax & nexus rules for Payoneer sellers
Idaho charges a 6% state sales-tax rate. Payments through Payoneer are not covered by marketplace-facilitator laws — you collect and remit yourself. Registration is required before your first taxable sale if you have physical presence in Idaho (an in-state location, inventory, or employees), or once you cross Idaho's remote-seller economic-nexus threshold of $100,000 in sales in the previous or current calendar year.
Idaho has no transaction count threshold — only the $100,000 dollar threshold applies. Idaho's 6% state rate is the only statewide rate; cities do not impose additional sales taxes. The state is not part of the Streamlined Sales Tax program, so register directly through the Idaho State Tax Commission.

How to verify your Idaho LLC on Payoneer
- Business registration certificate. Upload the Certificate of Organization Idaho returned to you, stamped and approved.
- IRS EIN document. Provide your federal EIN (free from the IRS; non-US founders without an SSN must apply via Form SS-4 by fax or phone rather than the online tool) — independent of Idaho.
- Beneficial owner identity (25%+ owners). Provide a government ID for each beneficial owner named in your Idaho filings. Idaho names a member or manager on a routine public filing, so at least one name already matches state records.
- Business address proof. Use a US street address registered to the LLC in Idaho (your Idaho registered-agent or virtual business address), since a PO box is usually rejected.
- Consistent business name across all documents. Use the exact LLC name as Idaho recorded it on your Certificate of Organization; it must match your bank account holder name.
Non-US founders with Idaho LLCs
Payoneer is widely used by non-US founders receiving marketplace payments worldwide. Non-US owners of a Idaho LLC verify with their own non-US government ID. The entity still needs a US business address and an EIN alongside its Idaho registration. Payoneer supports receiving payments in multiple currencies without a US bank account.
