    Obtain the Statement of Change of Registered Agent form

    Download Form LLCS-2 (Statement of Change of Registered Agent) from the New Mexico Secretary of State website at https://www.sos.nm.gov or request it by mail.

    Complete the required information

    Fill out your LLC's name, file number, current registered agent information, and new registered agent's name and New Mexico address. Ensure the new agent has agreed to serve in this capacity.

    Sign and date the form

    The form must be signed by a member or manager of the LLC. Include the printed name and title of the person signing the document.

    Pay the filing fee

    The filing fee for changing a registered agent in New Mexico is $25. Payment can be made by check or money order payable to the 'New Mexico Secretary of State.'

    Submit the form to the Secretary of State

    Mail the completed form and payment to: New Mexico Secretary of State, Corporations Bureau, 325 Don Gaspar Avenue, Suite 300, Santa Fe, NM 87501. You can also file in person at this address.

    Receive confirmation

    The Secretary of State will process your filing and send confirmation. Keep this documentation with your LLC records as proof of the registered agent change.
