How to File

  1. 1

    Choose Your New Registered Agent

Select an individual Alaska resident or business entity authorized to conduct business in Alaska. The agent must have a physical Alaska street address (not a P.O. Box) and be available during business hours to receive legal documents.

  2. 2

    Obtain Consent from New Agent

Get written consent from your new registered agent before filing. If using a professional service, they'll typically provide this as part of their onboarding process.

  3. 3

Complete the Statement of Change Form

File a Statement of Change (Form 08-465) with the Alaska Division of Corporations. Include your LLC name, entity number, new registered agent name, and their complete Alaska address.

  4. 4

    Pay the Filing Fee

Submit the $25 filing fee along with your Statement of Change form. Payment can be made online, by check, or money order payable to the State of Alaska.

  5. 5

File with Alaska Division of Corporations

Submit your form and fee online at https://www.commerce.alaska.gov or mail to: Division of Corporations, Business and Professional Licensing, P.O. Box 110806, Juneau, AK 99811-0806.

  6. 6

    Update Your Records

Once approved, update your internal LLC records and notify banks, vendors, and other business contacts of the registered agent change if necessary.
